A Complete Math Kangaroo Study Plan for Seventh and Eighth Grade.
The Grades 7–8 Math Kangaroo paper is 30 questions in 75 minutes, in three blocks of ten worth 3, 4 and 5 points. It is about thinking, not long calculation: a percent story becomes one equation, an angle follows from an isosceles triangle, a big count from a remainder.
This guide teaches one question type per chapter, from primes, equations and percent to angles, areas of triangles and circles, cube nets and logic. Every problem shows its points like the real paper, and the papers have been getting harder, so the guide practices a little above past ones.
It is written to your student, so they can work through it on their own. Every answer has a picture, the key idea in one bold line, and a Why it works note with a check and the most common wrong answer.
More than memorizing
The confidence to think through a new kind of problem.
Math Kangaroo rewards curiosity, careful reading, and trying a strategy when the answer is not obvious. The guide gives students a friendly way to practise all three.

Frequently asked questions
What grades is this guide for?
This edition is written for seventh and eighth graders, who sit the same Math Kangaroo paper: 30 questions in 75 minutes, three point blocks, five choices each.
Can my student use it on their own?
Yes. The guide speaks to the student throughout, and every answer shows the key idea, a check and why it works, so a seventh or eighth grader can study and mark their own work.
Is it hard?
Yes, on purpose. The papers have been getting harder, so each chapter climbs from 3-point problems to the 5-point level, and the two starred Challenges go a step beyond. It is fine to leave them for another day.
How should my student use the guide?
Two or three problems a day, no calculator. Work through the 12 chapters in four weeks, then take Practice Test A; save the timed Practice Test B (75 minutes) for a few days before the contest.
Are the problems original?
Yes — 100% original, written in the style and difficulty of the real contest. We never copy actual contest problems.
How do I get the guide after buying?
You'll get an instant download page after checkout, plus an email with your download link.
Is there a refund policy?
We generally don't offer refunds, but if you're not satisfied, contact us and we'll do our best to make it right.
